Bangladesh is going to have a tough time when they play the second Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. It was hard for them in their first game, where they scored 75 runs and lost six wickets. Pakistan has 274 runs, which is 199 runs more than them. At the moment, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz are at the crease, putting up 13 and 33 runs, respectively, in the fight.
Bangladesh’s bowlers made a strong comeback on the third day of the match. The bowling of Khurram Shehzad and Mir Hamza was especially good; they held Bangladesh’s top order to 26 runs. Shadman Islam scored ten runs, and only four were scored by leader Najmul Hossain Shanto. Shakib Al Hasan only got two runs, while Mushfiqur Rahim scored three. Both Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque were out after one run. Khurram Shehzad took five wickets, and Mir Hamza took two.
Before on the second day, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, an off-spinner, helped Bangladesh get rid of Pakistan for 274 runs. With 5-61, Mehidy got his 10th five-wicket haul in Tests, and Taskin Ahmed helped him out with 3-57. Pakistan was ahead at first (99-1), but after lunch, Mehidy got rid of important players like Shan Masood and Saim Ayub, who swung the game in Bangladesh’s favor.
Bangladesh finished the day at 10-0, even though opener Shadman Islam was dropped on the first ball of their innings. On the third day, though, Pakistan put too much pressure on Bangladesh’s batting order, and they fell apart.
Bangladesh’s leader, Najmul Hossain Shanto, won the toss and decided to field first to make it harder for Pakistan to bat. To get a win, Pakistani leader Shan Masood sat Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah and put Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza in their place. The first day’s play was called off because of rain, which also pushed back the toss and cut the match short.
This is the Pakistan team: Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shehzad, Mohammad Ali, Abrar Ahmed, and Mir Hamza. Shan Masood is the captain.
Shadman Islam (captain), Najmul Hossain Shanto, Zakir Hasan, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and Nayeem Hasan make up the Bangladesh team.
