Introduction
Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, a well-known figure in Indian cinema, has recently faced severe financial troubles. The Central Bank of India has seized his property in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, due to an unpaid debt.
Loan Details
Rajpal Yadav had borrowed INR 3 crore from the Mumbai branch of the Central Bank of India, located in the Bandra Kurla Complex. This loan was secured against property in Shahjahanpur, which belonged to his father, Naurang Yadav.
Debt Increase
Unfortunately, Rajpal Yadav was unable to make regular payments on the loan. As a result, the debt grew from INR 3 crore to a staggering INR 11 crore due to accumulated interest and penalties.
Property Seizure
On August 8, a team from the Mumbai branch of the Central Bank of India arrived in Shahjahanpur to take action. They sealed the property to recover the unpaid amount.
Rajpal Yadav’s Career
Rajpal Yadav, 53 years old and originally from Shahjahanpur, has appeared in over 150 films in various languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, and Kannada. He is especially famous for his comedic roles in films like “Bhool Bhulaiyaa.”
Previous Financial Troubles
Rajpal Yadav has faced financial difficulties before. In the past, he was jailed for failing to repay a loan used to finance his film “Ata Pata Lapata.” The film, which starred Rajpal Yadav and was produced by his wife, Radha Yadav, did not perform well at the box office, leading to significant financial losses.
Current Situation
The recent property seizure is related to a loan allegedly taken through his production company, Shri Naurang Godavari Entertainment Limited. The film featured local talent from Shahjahanpur and starred Rajpal Yadav alongside the late Om Puri. However, it did not achieve the expected success.
Future Projects
Neither Rajpal Yadav nor the Central Bank of India has issued an official statement regarding the property seizure. Despite these challenges, the actor is set to appear in upcoming films such as “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” “Baby John,” “Welcome To The Jungle,” and “Maktoob.” He was recently seen in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” and made his OTT debut in “Kathal.” The Update Times
