Moscow sent a message to the US about the dangers of making the Ukraine conflict worse. Sergei Ryabkov, who is Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, said this through the state-run news service RIA Novosti. He said that the US should pay attention to Russia’s worries.
Ryabkov also talked about the possibility of a meeting at the UN General Assembly between Sergei Antony Blinken, who is the US secretary of state, and Sergey Lavrov, who is the Russian foreign minister. He said that a meeting was not possible because there was “nothing to talk about” between the two sides.
A spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said in a separate meeting that Russia should not let Ukraine conflict launch long-range attacks into Russia. She said that these kinds of acts would change the Ukraine war in a basic way.
“Hawks on both sides of the Atlantic are playing with fire,” Zakharova said to show that she was worried. If these things happen, she thinks they will be very bad for everyone.
