KARACHI: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued a storm warning, and Sindh’s Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, told all local governments and important offices to remain completely alert.
Because of the upcoming heavy rain in several areas of Sindh, the chief minister needs to plan carefully. He reminded everyone that every section should be ready to handle any problem that might come up.
For public safety’s sake, the health department has been told to improve hospital plans and ensure there are enough medical staff on hand. Fisheries officials are responsible for ensuring fishermen’s safety because the sea is expected to be very rough. In addition, the irrigation department has been told to keep a close eye on landforms, rivers, and waterways to avoid any floods.
Tharparkar district has had the most rain in Sindh, with a total of 347 mm falling across its seven tehsils, according to the most recent weather reports. Specifically, 74 mm of rain fell on Diplo, 70 mm on Mithi, and 53 mm on Chhachhro. It rained 190 mm in Karachi, with 30 mm falling in Surjani Town, which was the biggest amount. India got 143 mm of rain in Mirpur Khas, 116 mm in Hyderabad, and 112 mm in Badin. At Masroor Base, the windiest period was 67 km/h.
Despite the danger of the storm, Sindh’s officials are still ready to act quickly if anything happens.
